Saltgrass Steakhouse Takes Over The Old Brickhouse Location and Does Not Disappoint
The Brickhouse located at 8440 International Dr, Orlando, FL 32819 has now been converted by Landry's to a Saltgrass Steakhouse. They have another location in Orlando on Vineland Road, but this is the first one on IDRIVE, and the first time I have tried it. The place is terrific being located directly across from the wheel (formerly Orlando EYE). If you sit on the patio, you could have great views of the wheel and the Starflyer.
The dining room has been redone with higher end tables and western decor. I had the ribeye, and if the wheel were still called the Orlando Eye, I would call it a Ribeye with a view of the Eye. Instead, I'll say you need to get "wheeled" out of after you eat here. The grilled salmon was excellent. It was seasoned, and the edges had a nice caramelization. The cheesecake is a must before you leave. The thin gram cracker crust held 2 inch plus creamy cheesecake in place, so when you sliced it, you could dip it in the strawberry and cream sauce. All desserts are made from scratch at the location. The patio views of the wheel with a dessert and cocktail sound pretty good. This location is exceptional, and it's good to see Saltgrass Steakhouse open on IDrive Orlando. Make sure to tag us when you visit and let us know how you like it.
