ESCAPOLOGY AND AGATHA CHRISTIE LIMITED ANNOUNCE THE MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS ESCAPE ROOM
Escapology, the world’s fastest-growing and biggest escape game franchise, has partnered with Agatha Christie Limited (ACL) to announce the first-ever Murder on the Orient Express-inspired escape room.
The Murder on the Orient Express escapes room is a classic “whodunnit” adventure where the participants play as Detective Hercule Poirot working to unmask a saboteur and repair the brakes train before it derails atop the Simplon viaduct killing everyone on board. Players have 60-minutes to crack codes, solve puzzles, find the saboteur, and fix the brakes before time runs out!
“We are beyond thrilled with this partnership,” says Escapology CEO Simon Davison. “Agatha Christie is the best-selling novelist of all time; her stories continue to enchant and inspire throughout the years! Who doesn’t love a good murder mystery?” Working alongside the ACL team to produce the Murder on the Orient Express escape game has been fun, easy, and informative! We can’t wait to share this game with the public.”
The exciting new game is now live to book at the Escapology Orlando, Florida location and will be followed by select locations worldwide throughout 2021.
Escape rooms have exploded in popularity in the past few years going from less than 14 venues in 2014 in the USA to over 2,250 by 2020. The fastest-growing escape game globally has the most US venues, with over 50 attractions open and a further 20 openings planned during 2021/2022.
Murder on the Orient Express is a challenging game that will suit both escape game enthusiasts and casual escape game players.
You are world-renowned Detective Hercule Poirot, aboard the famous Orient Express. You have just solved the murder of Mr. Ratchet; the man found stabbed to death in his cabin after being proved guilty of abducting and killing a young child - Daisy Armstrong - the daughter of a WW1 hero. However, just as you are preparing to deliver your verdict, new evidence reveals one of the passengers aboard the train has a much more deadly plan.
Critical elements of the train’s brake system have been secretly removed, and the Orient Express is gently gathering speed as it descends the most treacherous part of the mountainous route. On its current projection, the train will derail at great speed on the sharp curve atop the towering Simplon Viaduct in precisely 60 minutes
Your objective is simple - find the potential killer and repair the brake lines to stop the train. Failure means certain death for all, while success means solving the most famous crime in history and saving everyone aboard. Solve the riddles and puzzles, gather the evidence and catch the murderer before it’s too late! Do you have what it takes to save all the lives on-board?
Time is of the essence!
