Dressing for Success (And Comfort) During Your Summer I-Drive Orlando Trip

The summer is a great time to visit Orlando and especially the main tourism Strip International Drive more commonly known as I-Drive. The long days and extended operating hours of the state's top tourist attractions give you plenty of time to take in all that this exciting city has to offer. Here are three tips to keep in mind when looking to dress for both success and comfort during your summer trip to Orlando.

Dressing Cool

The first step in dressing for Orlando during the summer is to choose your wardrobe with heat and humidity in mind. Lightweight fabrics that wick away moisture are ideal for the soaring temperatures and sticky conditions that Orlando sees in the summer. Because it still may be chilly in the morning or late at night, it is always a good idea to dress in layers so that you can stay comfortable. You should also be prepared for the typical Orlando summer afternoon thunderstorm.

Makeup Mistakes

Visiting Orlando in the summer is not the time to be overly preoccupied with your makeup. The extreme weather is going to thwart a lot of your efforts anyway. While a facial powder is appropriate, liquid makeup may start to run if you are out in the heat for too long. There are some benefits of lash extensions you should be aware of. Unlike traditional mascara which is likely to run during the hot and humid Orlando weather, lash extensions will hold up to the conditions outside.

Comfortable Shoes

The number one rule to follow when visiting Orlando is to wear comfortable shoes. Chances are, you will be doing a lot of walking as you discover all of the wonders of this magical city. You will likely get the most use out of a comfortable pair of tennis shoes. It is a good idea to make sure that they are broken in prior to the trip so that you do not develop blisters. If you are visiting one of the many water parks that dot the landscape of Orlando, be sure to bring along some sturdy water sandals. You want your shoes to be able to wick away moisture so that your feet do not get hot and sweaty.

You will get the most out of your time in Orlando if you are comfortable. Following these three rules will ensure that you are ready to leverage all of the fun in Orland and have an amazing trip.
