My stay at the
has been quite pleasant. This hotel offers quite a few amenities from the half indoor half outdoor pool to the business center, in which all are extremely convenient to access. The lobby is very open and offers plenty of seating if you wish to grab a drink from the bar or just relax after a long day. Happy hour at the bar is every day from 5:30 - 7:30 pm which includes free drinks, just make sure to take care of your bartender! This hotel has 8 floors that all open to the lobby. It is a very relaxed hotel and I definitely recommend it. There is also a car rental place inside of the hotel, which is really helpful.
A couple things that you must remember if you are staying at Embassy Suites on International Drive. The first is that Embassy Suites has two locations near each other on International Drive. I ordered pizza and the delivery driver went to the other Embassy Suites. The other is B.Y.O.B. The bar is open usually at 5:30 even on weekends. I had my family come visit me and we went in pool on Saturday afternoon and we had to go to Walgreens to grab beer. I figured they would have someone around on weekends to serve beer, but it is not the case. It rains in Orlando a lot, and nothing really to do at this hotel during the afternoon if it is raining. The bar is closed and no restaurant, etc. The other Embassy Suites has a restaurant inside it "Fisheye Grill" which is pretty cool. The Jamaican Court no restaurant here.
The Staff is great. Some hotels have long lines to check-in or you have issues with paying for parking, etc. I stayed here for 4 days and parking is FREE! Free Breakfast and Coffee in the morning and free internet. I stayed at the Hilton down the road a couple days back, and almost $20 a day for parking. No Free Drinks or Breakfast, and almost $15 a day for Internet Access. The pool at Hilton blows this place out of the water, but again I am here for business not amentities. Friendly staff - We had bartenders Mark and Khalid they are awesome - The 5:30 - 7:30 managers special free drinks usually gets popping, and only one of them on staff. Take care of them TIPWISE, and they will take care of you. All in all -- a great experience! With the rate you can get on Expedia/Priceline it is a no-brainer if you are staying in the Orlando, Florida area.
