International Drive restaurateurs Katerina and Vassilis Coumbaros — owners of Greek restaurant Taverna Opa and contemporary Spanish concept Tapa Toro — have a third concept in the works called Kavas Tacos + Tequila. The new eatery will open in September 2020 in the Pointe Orlando entertainment complex's first level, replacing spaces that previously housed Minus5 Ice Bar, Johnny Rockets, and additional retail space. This will be the couple's second restaurant in Pointe Orlando, where Taverna Opa has graced a second-story space for more than a decade.
